Carlos Alcaraz will team up with Rafael Nadal for the men’s doubles event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Rafael Nadal has already achieved immense success at the Summer Games, winning the gold medal in Singles in Beijing 2008. He also claimed a gold medal in the Doubles event alongside Marc Lopez at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Carlos Alcaraz revealed that they still have not discussed their strategies for the Olympics. The world number three stated that they would only talk about their plans once they unite in Paris for the Summer Olympics. He admitted that he would feel a little nervous teaming up with a such a legend like Rafael Nadal.
Carlos Alcaraz believes that the wisest thing for him to do is listen to his much experienced partner in the Doubles event.
“Not much. He’s also doing his thing, we’re doing ours. We talk very little, but when we’re at the Games, we’ll talk about doubles and, above all, how we’re going to do it. I’m not nervous right now. When the time comes, I will be. And yes, obviously, he’s already experienced this, he already knows what it’s like to play in the Olympics, to win a gold in both singles and doubles. I’m new, I’m the rookie here, so I have to keep my mouth shut and just listen to him,” said Alcaraz on his partnership with Nadal at the Paris Olympics.

Carlos Alcaraz stated that it was a dream come true for him to partner Rafael Nadal at the Paris Olympics. This in all certainty is the veteran’s last appearance at the Summer Olympics, and he will hope to make the most out of it.
Carlos Alcaraz gave a stern warning to the rest of the field, clearing stating that they would be going for the gold medal in the Doubles event. In the Singles event, the world number three is the favorite to win the gold medal, alongside the likes of Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic.
“I am going to go for the title, I am going to go just thinking that I will able to win it, that’s my goal to bring a medal to my country, hopefully the gold medal. And obviously, the doubles with Rafa is going to be a really dream moment for me. Obviously, we will try to bring home the gold medal again,” said Alcaraz.
