“I feel like I’m in a big disadvantage” : Daniil Medvedev explains his struggles and outbursts after heavy loss to Taylor Fritz at the ATP World Tour Finals

“I feel like I’m in a big disadvantage” : Daniil Medvedev explains his struggles and outbursts after heavy loss to Taylor Fritz at the ATP World Tour Finals Nothing seems to be going the way of world no.4 Daniil Medvedev at the moment, and his recent outburst at the round robin match against US Open runner up Taylor Fritz at the ATP World Tour Finals did not help matters at all. The Russian lost to the American 6-4, 6-3, embarrassing himself while doing so. Medvedev received multiple code violations throughout the match by the umpire, for furiously throwing his racket a little more than one time. Things got out of hand as the Russian was so furious as no decision was going his way. Medvedev also had problems with the ball, and quite literally begged the umpire to hand him an old one, or else he would quit the match on the spot. The Russian ultimately ended his horror night with eight double faults which were included in his 24 unforced errors. “I have this every day, day in, day out, since like two, three years” : Daniil Medvedev admits struggling with mental issues Speaking after his defeat, the Russian admitted his mistake when asked about his outbursts during the match and told that he was just frustrated more with himself than anyone else. “Unfortunately, nothing comes from my mind, and I expect nothing. I get angry, frustrated. This time completely with myself, not with anyone. Just with myself. Yeah, very frustrated,” said Medvedev. The 28-year-old further addressed this issue, and revealed that he has been struggling mentally since the past few years. The balls also remained a topic of conversation as he explained how it was putting him at a disadvantage against Fritz. “I have this every day, day in, day out, since like two, three years. Every practice is a struggle. Every match is a struggle. I was holding for long time. Now I feel zero pleasure of being on the court. So, no surprise at all about the match today,” addressed the world no.4. “Not at all. The balls make that everyone can do it now. So not at all surprised,” Medvedev added. The Russian continued on the fact that he is pleased that the ATP season is finally about to be over, as he is ‘tired’ to fight over something which does not depend on himself, and that he will hold no grudges going forward regardless of how things turn out for him. “It’s the first time I say it. Usually, like, ATP Finals were not easy for me. The only time I won it was when the year started US Open, so it’s a little bit different. But like I always fight. As I said, since long time I fight with something that doesn’t depend on myself. I’m a good fighter. I am still 4 in the world. Might be 5 if Taylor plays good here. Still pretty decent. I’m sure a lot of guys would like it.” said the former world no.1. “But now I’m tired to fight it. I’m tired to fight against something that doesn’t depend on myself. I’ll see how it goes. Today actually I had my chances. I’ll have them the next matches. If it doesn’t work out, I go on holiday. I’m happy.” Medvedev explained. Daniil Medvedev cannot go on a holiday just yet, as he is still in the competition and will face world no.8 Alex De Minaur on November 12, whom he leads 6-3 in head-to-head. His final group stage match will be against none other than Jannik Sinner on November 13, who has all but sealed his world no.1 spot for this season. Moreover, the duo will be facing each other for the 15th time, and are tied at 7-7. Expect this one to be a proper clash, one which can heavily motivate the Russian going forward provided he comes out victorious. “I wish I could have” : Carlos Alcaraz on convincing Rafael Nadal to not step off the court just yet

“I wish I could have” : Carlos Alcaraz on convincing Rafael Nadal to not step off the court just yet Ever since Rafael Nadal had been hindered with on and off injuries, everyone knew the day would arrive when the greatest Spanish player of all time finally says his goodbyes to the sport. Unfortunately for fans worldwide, that day arrived and it is still shocking to digest the fact that we will not be having his presence on the court ever again. World no.3 Carlos Alcaraz is one of us, as he revealed how difficult it was to hear his role model’s retirement from the sport. The Spainard, who is currently in Turin for the ATP World Tour Finals, will be a part of Team Spain at the Davis Cup finals held in Malaga, the place where Rafael Nadal will retire for good.  The duo of Nadal and Alcaraz sparked the Paris Olympics this summer with many iconic moments, and we may very well see it again in the Davis Cup, be it for the final time. “We want to win the Davis Cup title for Spain and also for Rafa” : Carlos Alcaraz In a recent interview with Marca, the Spainard addressed many things regarding the Davis Cup and his thoughts on Nadal’s retirement. Alcaraz described how heartbroken he was when the 38-year-old told him his retirement plans, and that he wishes he could have his say on the matter, as do all tennis fans worldwide. “No, not really. I wish I could have. I know that the decision has already been made. I asked him if it was a tough day when he announced his retirement, if it was a tough decision to make,” said the 21-year-old. “If someone had told me that I had a chance of convincing him to continue, I would have done it and I would have tried because I don’t want to see him off the track yet,” the four-time Grand Slam champion added. Regardless, with the Davis Cup arriving soon, Alcaraz revealed that he wants to go into the tournament with any ‘emotional expectations’. He wants to be available for Team Spain in every category be it singles, doubles or even mixed. But most of all, the Spainard wishes to win the tournament to provide the legendary Rafael Nadal the send-off he deserves. “I want to go without any emotional expectations. We want to win the (Davis Cup) title for Spain and also for Rafa, so that his last tournament is as God intended,” Alcaraz admitted. “I will play for Spain in whatever way I can: singles, doubles, and if there is a mixed category, then the mixed category. If there is anything else, I am there to contribute my grain of sand because playing for Spain is the greatest thing for me. Being able to represent my country, my flag, all Spaniards, and even more so in the situation we are experiencing due to the DANA. I am going to give everything for my flag and for my country,” the Spainard added. Team Spain will be taking on the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup on November 19 at the Palacio Deportes Martín Carpena in Malaga. Safe to say, it is up to Carlos Alcaraz to lead his nation all up to the finals. “I feel sorry for those who want me to retire, because they will have to see me for a while longer” : Novak Djokovic

“I feel sorry for those who want me to retire, because they will have to see me for a while longer” : Novak Djokovic Novak Djokovic has hit out at critics following his loss to Jannik Sinner in the semifinals of the Six Kings Slam 2024. The Serbian has stated that he has no intentions to retire in the near future, as he still believes he can compete for Grand Slams. Novak Djokovic has seen a decline in his form after claiming the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. After a shocking early round exit at the US Open, the Serbian was defeated in the finals of the Shanghai Open by Jannik Sinner. After suffering his second loss to the Italian in four days, the Serb was questioned if he has any intentions to call it a day like his fierce rival Rafael Nadal. “I still feel that I enjoy the process and it generates all these benefits for me, so why not do it? Some people think I should retire from tennis at the top: “You won gold, you won everything, say goodbye.” Some people think I should keep going as long as I still think I can be the favorite for a Grand Slam. I think more like them,” said Novak. Novak Djokovic will now face Rafael Nadal for the third place at the Six Kings Slam, which could potentially also be their last ever meeting. The Spaniard announced last week that he will retire post the 2024 Davis Cup to be held next month. “For now I feel like I want to keep going” : Novak Djokovic Novak Djokovic accepted the fact that the motivation to play and compete is a little less, as he also has a family he wants to spend time with. However, he believes he will keep going for at least some more time given that he still feels competitive. “Maybe I will change my mind, I don’t know. For now I feel like I want to keep going. How much longer? Traveling and finding motivation is becoming more difficult for me. It’s not easy. And even less so with children. I don’t want to be away from home for so long, but I still have the drive. So I feel sorry for those who want me to retire, because they will have to see me for a while longer.” Novak Djokovic also stated that he loves playing the Davis Cup, representing his country. Moreover, he reckons that he has more Grand Slams left in him, which pushes him to compete. The Serbian has not had a very consistent year on the tour by his standards, however, he achieved the most awaited milestone of his career, by winning the Olympic gold in Paris. “Deep inside I feel that I still have more Grand Slams to win. What still pushes me to compete, especially in the Grand Slams, is the feeling that I can be a candidate to win it. And also for my country. I love playing the Davis Cup for Serbia. When I have to motivate myself, there are two things: one is to continue believing that I have the ability to continue fighting for the majors and win them,” said Novak Djokovic. “Kokki will get first priority but I am down” : Nick Kyrgios chooses best friend over Novak Djokovic as potential doubles partner

“Kokki will get first priority but I am down” : Nick Kyrgios chooses best friend over Novak Djokovic as potential doubles partner While recovering from his injury this season, Nick Kyrgios has been a busy man on social media. In his recent Q&A with fans on his Instagram stories, the Australian tennis star highlighted several things which have gone viral on social media. When asked about whether or not he will partner up with Novak Djokovic next season, he did not deny this possibility, but stated that he would prefer his best friend Thanasi Kokkinakis over the Serbian. “Next year doubles with Novak?” a fan asked Kyrgios on his Instagram Q&A. “Kokki will get first priority but I am down.” the Australian replied. Hailing from the same country, Kyrgios has known Kokkinakis since his junior tennis days. Their close friendship gained more prominence during their 2022 Australian Open men’s double title victory, where they went in as wildcards and became the first Aussie duo in 25 years to achieve this historic feat. But their camaraderie extends beyond the tennis court, as their relationship is built on shared experiences, mutual respect and a similar way of looking at life. “I only play with CLEAN players” : Nick Kyrgios on if he would ever partner up with Jannik Sinner Apart from Novak Djokovic, the Australian was also asked about if he would ever decide to pair up with the world no.1, to which, apart from clearly denying, he also threw shade at Jannik Sinner. “Double with Sinner? pls” a fan asked. “I only play with CLEAN players” the Wimbledon finalist replied. Throughout the Italian’s doping allegations this summer, Nick Kyrgios has been very vocal about being against the treatment he has received. The Australian believed that Sinner was being let off easily just because of his high ranking, and even demanded back in August, that after being tested positive for illegal substances not once but twice, the 23-year-old should face a 2-year ban. Recently, tennis journalist Ben Rothenberg revealed on social media that the CAS has agreed to hear WADA’s appeal over the Italian’s case, to which Nick Kyrgios yet again questioned on how Sinner is even permitted to play right now. “Why’s he still playing lol” Kyrgios replied. Jannik Sinner is currently in the middle of his Rolex Shanghai Masters campaign, and even after stating previously that he thought this was a matter of the past, the world no.1 still believed that the CAS’ final decision would go his way. “Two hours later we are in the same plane, having some laughs, making jokes” : Carlos Alcaraz talks about the plane ride he shared with Jannik Sinner hours after China Open win

“Two hours later we are in the same plane, having some laughs, making jokes” : Carlos Alcaraz talks about the plane ride he shared with Jannik Sinner hours after China Open win Thanks to the ATP’s tight scheduling, the final two contestants of the China Open had to travel to the next event situated in Shanghai in the same plane. If it were anyone else, things may well have gone weird, but apart from being the two best players in the world, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have grown to become great friends along the way as well. The Spainard and Italian have been in top form throughout the year, which was showcased in the ATP 500 final played in Beijing. The match lasted for a draining 3 hours and 21 minutes, and Alcaraz was able to dethrone the reigning champion in the last tiebreak 6-7(6), 6-4, 7-6(3). This win also maintained the Spainard’s unbeaten streak over the world no.1 this year, while extending the overall lead between them to 6-4. But just a few hours later and essentially no rest, the duo and their team travelled together in the same flight, a moment which has gone viral due to obvious reasons. In no other sport other than tennis does it happen that two opponents, after facing against each other in a major final are seen travelling together to the next event, where they could possibly face each other yet again. Carlos Alcaraz admits having a good relationship off the court with Jannik Sinner is helpful After the dominance portrayed by the Big 3 in the last two decades, it was speculated as to who in the next generation would finally be their successors. But the way Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have leaped far ahead of their competitors in such a short amount of time, is almost uncanny like. The Spainard after his impressive win in the China Open final, addressed the media about his experience with Sinner while travelling together, and revealed that it felt like ‘nothing happened before’. “It is weird; it’s a weird thing but I think tennis is different than the other sports because of it.” said Alcaraz (via Tennis TV). “We’re fighting against each other – three hours match; he could win, but in the end I got the win. And then two hours later we are in the same plane, having some laughs, making jokes, talking about life. And it’s like, we’re acting like nothing happened before,” he said about the time spent with two-time Grand Slam champion.” the reigning Wimbledon and French Open champion added. The Spaniard also talked about his relationship off-court with the Italian, stating that this level of respect and friendship is unattainable in other sports. “Probably in other sports, it could be impossible to do it, but I think in tennis we have a really good relationship off the court as well, obviously, when we step on the court, we always want to win with the opponent, but after that we have a really good relationship with everyone, so we can do it,” the 21-year-old explained. Meanwhile, Jannik Sinner, in his post-final conference praised the Spainard’s abilities and admitted their rivalry pushes both of them to their absolute limits, in turn making each other into better players coming off the court. “Yeah, I feel like it’s always great when we meet, no? We try to push ourself and each other to the limits,” Jannik Sinner said. “He for me is a point of where I work. Also today I saw couple things where I need to get better. It’s not only him, there are also other players.” the US Open winner reflected. “It’s always nice to share the court with him. I feel like also the fans, they like it. Usually the matches are quite long, they’re physical, there are many turning points.” the 23-year-old added praise on Alcaraz. The duo’s time together in China did not stop at the airport, as they were together for a Nike event after as well. To say Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are the two main faces of the tennis world right now, is an understatement, and their camaraderie may well be the key for both to reach the Big 3 levels. “Pathetic for tennis as an organization” : Journalist criticizes Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz’s schedule after Beijing Open final

“Pathetic for tennis as an organization” : Journalist criticizes Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz’s schedule after Beijing Open final Over the course of the 2024 ATP season, highly regarded players, journalists, analysts and even fans have criticized the officials in control regarding the hectic and almost abnormal scheduling of events which fail to provide enough rest and recuperation to the players, who seem to be quite exhausted by this. Playing match after match and then travelling to different parts of the world have finally taken a toll on the players, more so this year due to the inclusion of the summer tennis Olympics in Paris as well. From Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz complaining about their physical and mental health being ignored to Novak Djokovic and Elena Rybakina completing their matches at three in the morning, it seems like a change finally needs to occur regarding event scheduling. The most recent burst regarding the scheduling highlights the two best players in the world right now. Just yesterday, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner played out a classic in the China Open final, with the Spainard taking the win, making it three from three against Sinner this year. But now, just a day later, both him and the Italian are already in Shanghai to kick off their Masters campaign. Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will have no time to rest as they restart at Shanghai in less than 48 hours Whether you are the best player in the world or a complete rookie, it is obvious that your quality of play will eventually decline when playing continuously without feeling completely rejuvenated. With the season almost at the curtain call, ATP has failed to view this as a major concern even after constant criticisms. Tennis journalist and commentator Jose Morgado spoke on the ATP’s ‘ugly’ side as an organisation on social media, which divided fans into two sides. While some agreed on the Venezuelan’s comments and hoped for a less hectic schedule, others pointed out that Beijing and Shanghai are just two hours apart with no time zone difference, and that they are professional athletes who are paid richly, so it is justified in itself. “Both Carlos Alcaraz (vs. Shang!) and Jannik Sinner (Daniel) will have to play their first matches in Shanghai… in less than 48 hours… That’s unhealthy and actually almost pathetic for tennis as an organization.” “Hearing that both Sinner and Alcaraz may get a Saturday start in Shanghai despite their half of the draw playing all on Friday. In that case they would play R2 on Saturday and R3 on Sunday.” The world no.1 is set to play against Japan’s Taro Daniel while the Spainard has to put up with China’s very own Juncheng Shang. Regardless, the current landscape concerns over the tight scheduling continues, as players’ wishes from the ATP continues to be in woe.  Also Read: “He managed to find an explanation within 15 days after testing positive” : Casper Ruud defends Jannik Sinner as the tennis world divides on the Italian’s doping case

“I am delighted to beat Rafa” : Carlos Alcaraz after becoming the second fastest man to achieve terrific milestone

“I am delighted to beat Rafa” : Carlos Alcaraz after becoming the second fastest man to achieve terrific milestone  Carlos Alcaraz became the second fastest man to win 200 matches on the ATP tour, as he beats his Spanish compatriot Rafael Nadal en-route to reaching the milestone. Carlos Alcaraz defeated Tallon Griekspoor in the last 16 clash at the China Open to achieve his 200th win, within just a couple of years of him turning pro. Only John McEnroe remains ahead of Carlos Alcaraz in terms of being the fastest man to achieve 200 wins on the tour. Rafael Nadal had lost 55 matches by the time he had claimed his 200th win, whereas, Carlos Alcaraz has lost just 52 matches. Carlos Alcaraz was delighted after achieving this feat, and already has 300 wins in his sight. Speaking at a press conference after his win on Sunday, the Spaniard said, “I am very happy with this result. It is a very good figure. But I am already aiming for 300 victories. I am delighted to beat Rafa (laughs).“ Carlos Alcaraz sets up semifinal date with Daniil Medvedev in Beijing Carlos Alcaraz defeated Karen Khachanov in the quarterfinals in Beijing in straight sets. The Spaniard has been absolutely flawless in Beijing so far, winning all three of his matches in straight sets. Carlos Alcaraz will now face Daniil Medvedev in a mouth-watering semifinal clash on Tuesday. The Russian has been equally dominant this week in Beijing, as he outplayed Flavio Cobolli in straight sets in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Jannik Sinner is scheduled to face Jiri Lehecka in the quarterfinals later on Monday. This means that the two title favorites, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are on collision course in the finals. The duo last locked horns at the French Open a couple of months earlier, where the Spaniard prevailed in five sets. “I don’t want love-ins on the court” : Andy Murray’s former coach doesn’t want Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner to get too friendly

“I don’t want love-ins on the court” : Andy Murray’s former coach doesn’t want Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner to get too friendly Andy Murray’s former coach Mark Petchey has stated that he does not want Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner to get too friendly with each other. The duo have developed a great rivalry over the past couple of seasons, and have won two Grand Slams each this year. Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have already played some entertaining battles, which also includes their five set battle at the French Open this year. Apart from their rivalry on the court, the duo share a great bond with each other. They are often heard praising each other at press conferences, as they are pretty good friends off court as well. Mark Petchey wants the relationship between the two players to remain a little tense, which would add a lot of spice to their battles on court. He likens this with the rivalry between the likes of John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl back in the 80s. “Don’t want it (Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner) to be too friendly. I don’t want love-ins on the court. I want it to mean something. You want to feel like when they walk out there that it’s all on the line. You go back to Lendl-Mac, Lendl-Connors, I love that era,” Petchey said to the Tennis Channel. “I hope that we our rivalry is going to be or almost that the Big 3 had during the whole career” : Carlos Alcaraz Earlier at the 2024 Laver Cup, Carlos Alcaraz stated that he hopes his rivalry with Jannik Sinner becomes as fierce as the Big Three had during their times. “Well, a lot of people talk about it. I like hearing it, I’m not gonna lie. I hope so. I hope that we our rivalry is going to be or almost that the Big 3 had during the whole career,” Carlos Alcaraz said. The Spaniard also stated that the duo share a great relationship off court, and they deeply respect each other. He hopes that both of them keep competing for major ATP titles, and Masters tournaments. Both players are currently involved in competing at the China Open, as Jannik Sinner is scheduled to face Jiri Lehecka in the quarterfinals on Monday. Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz is scheduled to face Tallon Griekspoor in the last 16 clash on Sunday. The two players could face each other in the finale, which will be taking place on Wednesday. “I’m very disappointed and also surprised about this appeal because we had three hearings” : Jannik Sinner reacts as WADA calls for a ban on Italian athlete

“I’m very disappointed and also surprised about this appeal because we had three hearings” : Jannik Sinner reacts as WADA calls for a ban on Italian athlete Jannik Sinner’ doping saga has taken another turn, as The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has called for the Italian tennis star to be banned for one to two years. This comes on the back of Jannik Sinner’s two failed doping tests a couple of months earlier, as WADA believes that this is sheer negligence on part of the athlete. When the news broke out, Jannik Sinner was scheduled to face Roman Safiullin in the last 16 at the Beijing Open on Saturday. The Italian came back from a set down once again to defeat the Russian, as he advanced into the quarterfinals. The two-time Grand Slam champion will now face Jiri Lehecka in the quarterfinals on Monday. Speaking after his victory in the last 16 clash, Jannik Sinner was left disappointed by WADA’s appeal. The Italian has already had three hearings, and he surprised by WADA’s decision to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. “Obviously I’m very disappointed and also surprised about this appeal because we had three hearings,” Sinner said. All three hearings came out very positively for me. I knew it a couple of days ago, that they were going to appeal, that today it’s going to go official,” said Sinner, as quoted by Eurosport. WADA appeals to CAS to impose ban on Jannik Sinner Jannik Sinner was found contaminated during his samples collected in March this year. The Italian’s team had used an over the counter spray to treat a wound, which contained the contaminated substance. Jannik Sinner stated that he was unaware about the contaminated substance, as his team had cooperated with the ITIA in the process. ITIA deemed that the exposure to the substance was not intentional, and did not oppose Sinner’s plea to lift the ban. “A thorough investigation by the ITIA followed, including multiple in-depth interviews with Sinner and their support team, all of whom co-operated fully with the process.” “Following that investigation, and in line with the independent scientific advice, the ITIA accepted the player’s explanation as to the source of clostebol found in their sample and that the violation was not intentional.” The entire saga has seemed to divide the tennis fraternity as many seem to be perplexed as to how the Italian is being allowed to compete so soon. Former world number one Simona Halep had to serve a lengthy ban for the same reason, as the likes of Nick Kyrgios have demanded more consistency in such situations. “We can still choose what to play and what not to play” : Jannik Sinner throws out subtle disagreement over Carlos Alcaraz’s statement about exhausting ATP schedule

“We can still choose what to play and what not to play” : Jannik Sinner throws out subtle disagreement over Carlos Alcaraz’s statement about exhausting ATP schedule The four major Grand Slam competitions are already over for the season, yet the current ATP schedule still has a few tournaments left till the course of December. Many professional tennis players and analysts have commented about this excessive and unnecessary schedule, while some fans have claimed that increased profit and revenue are being prioritized over the physical well-being of players. The most recent player to point out about the heavy and tiresome tournament schedule is none other than world no. 3 Carlos Alcaraz. The Spainard has had an excellent season himself, winning majors in Wimbledon and the French Open, while also claiming the silver medal in men’s singles in the Paris Olympics. Alcaraz, who recently led Team Europe to the Laver Cup trophy, suggested that ATP is ‘killing’ fellow tennis players by their hectic schedule. The Spainard is not wrong, as especially this summer due to the Olympics, players have barely been able to get two to three weeks’ time to rest and recuperate.  “I’m the kind of player who think there is a lot of tournaments during the year, mandatory tournaments, and probably during the next few years gonna be even more tournaments, more mandatory tournaments. So, I mean, probably they are going to kill us in some way,” said the 21-year-old. Although, Carlos Alcaraz’s Italian counterpart believes otherwise. Jannik Sinner implies that players should skip tournaments as they are given the option to do so During a pre-event press conference for the China Open, world no.1 Jannik Sinner was asked about the Spaniard’s comments regarding the heavy scheduling throughout the year. Sinner did acknowledge on Alcaraz’s comments about it, but also added his own take that players can choose what tournament they want to participate in. “Yeah, the schedule is quite long obviously these years. But we players, we can still choose what to play and what not to play. Obviously, we have some mandatory events, yes. As a player, you can still choose. I think of that,” said the Italian. “It is a very busy schedule this year; there are a lot of tournaments. You don’t have to play a tournament. If you want, you can play. If not, you don’t play. For example, last year and also this year, I didn’t play some tournaments because I wanted to practice. There are some choices behind this. In general, yeah, the season is quite long, so sometimes it’s not easy,” the world no.1 added. The Italian himself has had one of the best breakthrough seasons ever, winning both hardcourt Grand Slam titles, all while getting pressed over controversial doping allegations in the summer. Sinner also skipped a few minor tournaments, which may well have been key for him to feel fresh and clear-minded ahead of the majors. Meanwhile, Alcaraz participated in almost all tournaments, and his slip in form due to fatigue in recent tournaments have been constantly highlighted. Both the world no.1 and 3 will be participating in the ATP 500 held in Beijing, China. The Italian, who is far ahead of any player in the rankings, will start his campaign against Nicolas Jarry. The Spaniard is put in the bottom half of the draw, against Giovanni Mpetshi. The China Open will begin this Thursday, concluding on October 2nd.  Also Read: “He managed to find an explanation within 15 days after testing positive” : Casper Ruud defends Jannik Sinner as the tennis world divides on the Italian’s doping case
